Heaven's Gate - HIV/AIDS Ministry
In 2005 we became aware of a desperate situation - people in rural India were dying of AIDS! We know that when God presents a problem that He, too, will provide the solution. We simply avail ourselves to be a part of His plan. In a very short period of time, the Lord provided the funds and resources that allowed CMI to open two Homes of Hope specifically designed to care for children with HIV/AIDS. In addition, an outreach ministry began to families with AIDS. We currently run a hospice facility and a medical clinic to help serve the surrounding communities.
We feel that it is an extraordinary privelege to be placed at the end of a person's life to intoduce them to Jesus before they meet Him face to face. To love in a way that is both tangible and practical is reaching people with God's love. Our faith is not static, but active and alive - full of life giving love.

Homes of Hope
Currently, there are seven orphanages under the Home of Hope banner. The children in our homes were destitute—having lost one or both parents, and with no hope for their future. Through the support of sponsors, these children are given a home-like atmosphere in which to live with nutritious meals and a wonderful family to grow up in. They each attend school and receive a good education or vocational training, medical care, and daily teaching of the Word of God with structured times of prayer, worship, study, and play time.
It is our desire to see these children grow up and go out into Indian society as witnesses for Jesus Christ. In light of that, the children prepare Christmas and Easter programs which introduce the gospel through song, dance, skits, and Bible memory recitation. They present these programs in slum communities and nearby villages. Annual Vacation Bible School programs are organized for the benefit of the thousands of slum and village children with our Home of Hope children participating in these as well.
The cost of sponsorship for a child in our Home of Hope is $35.00 per month.
Churches’ Council for Child and Youth Care (CCCYC)
Administered by the Church of South India, this large program provides needy children with quality Christian education and decent living conditions in boarding houses throughout South India. Chapel Missions India partners with this organization by referring children from Calvary Chapel slum families. These children have parents but are the poorest of the poor. Without help they have virtually no chance of breaking out of the cycle of poverty and illiteracy.
The cost of sponsorship for a child in the CCCYC program is $15.00 per month.
Friends Missionary Prayer Band (FMPB)
Chapel Missions India has a partnership arrangement with an indigenous missionary group called Friends Missionary Prayer Band which has been working in the state of Gujarat, north of Mumbai, for about 25 years. FMPB added a children’s home to their ministry not long ago and found themselves swamped with needy children. Chapel Missions India agreed to help by providing sponsorships. These children remain in Gujarat, but otherwise receive the same benefits as the children in our Homes of Hope. The children in this group are tribal children and usually have an intact family but are desperately poor and will receive no consistent or continuous education without help.
The cost of sponsorship for a child in the FMPB program is $20.00 per month.
As a sponsor of a child in any of these three programs, you are urged to write to your child and encourage his or her knowledge of and growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. With the exception of the FMPB tribal children in Gujarat and the boy's home in Manipur (due to hostilities toward Christian foreigners in those areas), a visit to see your child in the future can be facilitated through our annual Open Your Heart tour.
